SplitFlux — Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using SplitFlux, you agree to them. This is a plain-language version written to be readable; it is not legal advice. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] before you sign up.
1. Who we are
SplitFlux is a music distribution and rights management service for independent artists, operated by a registered LLC based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
2. What we do
We help artists get their music onto streaming platforms and YouTube Content ID, we register and protect those rights, and we make sure you get paid for the use of your music. We also help with promotion and artist support.
3. Who can join
You must be at least 18 years old. You must own, or fully control, the rights to the music you submit. And your music must be made by real people.
4. No AI-generated music or content
This is firm: we do not accept AI-generated music or content, with no exceptions. Every track you submit must be created by a human artist. If we find that submitted material is AI-generated, we will reject it, remove it from distribution, withhold or reverse any related payments, and may close your account.
5. Your rights stay yours
You keep ownership of your music. By submitting it, you give us the permission we need to distribute it, administer its rights (including on YouTube Content ID), collect what it earns, and pay you. You can ask us to stop distributing your music in line with your agreement and the rules of the platforms we deliver to.
6. What you promise us
You confirm that you own or control the rights to everything you submit, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, that it is not AI-generated, and that the information you give us is accurate.
7. Revenue and payments
You keep the majority of what your music earns. The exact split and any term length are set out in the distribution or partnership agreement you accept before anything goes live. Payouts are handled by our payout partner (currently Tipalti) on a monthly basis, with a minimum payout of $100. Balances below the minimum roll over. Fees or currency conversion from the payout provider may apply.
8. Things you may not do
Submit music you do not own; submit AI-generated material; impersonate others; try to manipulate streams or claims; or use the service to break the rules of the platforms we distribute to.
9. Ending your account
You can leave at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, especially the no-AI rule or rights violations. If your account ends, we will handle any music already in distribution in line with your agreement and platform requirements.
10. No guarantees
We work hard to get your music out and paid, but we cannot guarantee specific earnings, placements, or platform decisions. The service is provided "as is."
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make a meaningful change, we will let you know. Continuing to use SplitFlux after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
